How to read information to remember the most or to "register" them in mind?
Basically it's not enough once to register new information as permanent in mind. You need to practice and use it in reality. Practice of the information is what sets it as disposable in your abilities and it could only be perpetuated when it's refreshed over time.
There is only 1 thing worth mentioning: when you read for example a book (with focus and you really do it), it's sits in your mind [or rather outside your mind; in the anti-world, because information isn't really stored in the mind] to the rest of your live, but through your beliefs like "I've got bad memory" you're influencing (destroying) access to it.
To have best memory you need to a) eat non-processed food, b) have all the fiber need (or vitamins delivered), c) can't stress and live harmonically d) beliefs play major role in reminding information and your overall health.
No effort is ever worthless.
People think that they read once a book and it's finished. First reading, really – it's only a introductory reading to make yourself acquaint with the book. You should mark in it, ideas which are valuable (or you didn't know them and are in some reasons / ways important to you). Like I do:
Where I've got "legend": dick is the most important information (through entertainment of the mind you're allowed to remember ideas near dicks, it's my observation and it really works). Underlining and lines are meaning that information is new, or the idea is worthy testing. Tables are "middle" information important, they're as much important and worthy testing than
"dicks" (but in my scale, less worthy) and I need to focus on them.
Dependable on the book
I read it from 3 - 10 times (sometimes only 1 [once] and leave it with marked ideas and solutions). Only reading book 3 or more times can grant you that the knowledge included in it would be absorbed fully, but with notice: you need to practice it. In a various time frames, I like to refresh some knowledge cyclic.
Remember that all you've read sits in you and would be used by your subconscious to grant your access to your goals (trough access of your present knowledge). This is the reason why knowledge is so important and why you need to fail so many times when you achieve any goal. You must learn on your mistakes to accomplish something big (or small) and if you would see it
trough perspective you would see that in the past time you wouldn't make it without the knowing of this knowledge (on mistakes learning type).
Perfect way to remember information is to use in practice to write an article about it (like the way I do). It gives you the most memo. of it.
You should probably learn about speeding reading techniques. One thing: you don't read all. There would be separate article on this subject.
…
As a bonus to this article I would show you a memorize type technique which you would use in future to memorize anything you want (mostly important things). The one rule which you need to use:
always write everything on paper (when reading a book or need to memorize some information – if you can, WRITE IT!).
Let's say you must memorize this information [you've got 1 minute to do this] (a very secret code).
YIW710GCAANWFB
You could probably repeat it all over again and you would have poor chances to repeat it after a weak (like the students use to pass their exams).
Instead it you make a story:
Yesterday I Wake 10 minutes late after 7 (710) Got Car Accident And Never Wake up From Bed.
You're visualizing this whole story (seeing it as a movie). You shouldn't have problems to remind it now.
Another technique is MAPPING (Tony Buzan). You mark the general idea (on a paper); do it in square (everything is on picture, the whole idea).
