While when you're on drugs work seem to be far much easier and you've got necessary motivation to accomplish any task (skipping here the quality of your work, which drops accordingly to the
drop of "µ") [see:
PERFECTIONS, abuse issue as an example].
When you're without any drugs and furthermore you even can't do any (stimulants), because of the painful (physically) problem which I've described here:
Something sitting in throat and you think you can't breathe. Where, I've put much more in the
article (about drugs, anyway):
My personal reflection about the drugs (practical guide or retrospective summary?) (if somebody is interested in more information, article strictly informative to comparison).
You need to develop a method which allow you to get the same results, or method which would increase your motivation through work and would
make this work effective (in time and result terms) – with the one done on strong
stimulants.
Probably you're not noticing how the "jump" or rather precipice is between like you're "on" and when you're "without" (or rather you feel that is, because it's the point). Problem escalates furthermore when you're stopping completely taking any of those substances. Neitherless you need to find a methods which would at least "make you close" to effects you're desiring
from yourself as a person (with the similar quality of them).
I've developed a method which is working for me and I know personally it's suitable for most works (not something new), but I've developed it for myself on terms that are good for me. You would probably like to modificate it. It won't maybe replace drugs (in the shortterm), but it brings much more effectiveness in the work you do. Where notice that when you're
probably not "on" you feel and inner field that you need to pass on, "you don't want to do it" (as a feeling) or better, let's take it in "too lazy" to do it (hard to find appropraite translation from polish word). This field is called
power field and passing it brings you µ.
Human is able to focus without usage of any drugs maximally for 7 minute time (on full), then his focus kind of dissapears, so I've developed a technique which uses this discovery to increasy maximally effectiveness:
You work intensively (with set mini-goal, mini-task to do) for 7 minutes then you pause for 3 minutes and rest (go completely of work).
This method applies if you're in work focused on results (I don't care if you've paid for them, it's separate category). You want to probably train it, everyday to finally get into the "flow". It works well, after practice of min. 7-14 days, but don't do it 100% mechanically, rather as something natural.
After 1 hour: 10-20 minute break.
After about 2,3 or 4 hours (dependable) 30 minutes break when you think about nothing related to work (usally: you eat food), stretch yourself, do some pumps, stand on hands (if you work @ home).
Working in "pulses": maximum work for 7 minutes, rest for 3 minutes (completely not thinking about work, just rest) would maybe not replace drugs, but you would achieve much much further results with this steady, cyclic work and without any damage.
…
Remember about balance in life. When you're in work – you work, when it's free time – you're resting. If you would loose balance you would pay high price for it. Rest is also necessary for high achievements. Furthermore, you need at least 1 day completely free in a week, when you completely don't think about anything related to work. By doing so, you start
new weak with higher energy levels and you would actually achieve more than by not doing this free day! Balance is everything, so stay focused.
TIP: Sit on an uncomfortable chair if you work home / office and are focused on results.
Update: If your mini-task takes about 14-21 minutes (but up to max. 28 min. / per task; don't exceed this time value, because you would be again in the starting point), do x2-x3 (times) pause, but always finish the mini-task on that round.
