I've bought a toner for
Samsung ML-1640 and I've get error:
invalid black toner cartridge. It was a little bit bad situation, because it was the original toner. What you need to do is to install files:
Samsung-ML-1640-reset-raw.zip and reset the printer to work.
Here is also package:
Samsung ML-2240 to same error:
invalid black toner cartridge Samsung-ML-2240-reset-raw.zip.
What you need to do is to update firmware.
I've found those packages, on a blog: blog.sahat-tambunan.com/2009/11/28/reset-ml-1640-and-ml-2240-for-refill-toner/ (you've got there some more info, what is important: is to printer be plugged [and connected] when doing patching, all). Thank you for sharing and resolving my problem (I've uploaded those packages on my site, in case where the site was down).
My printer is now working, fully operational.
UPDATE. if you're printer still didn't works, you need to launch "smart panel" from start menu -> samsung ml-* -> smart panel and check for errors, troubleshoot guide:
check smart panel (maybe you didn't closed it?).
